in Berkshire
At LEGOLAND Windsor the entertainment is certainly
hands-on. Children aged 2-12 can take to the road, soar through the skies and
sail the seas in complete safety. With over 50 interactive rides, live shows,
building workshops, driving schools and attractions, all set in 150 acres of
beautiful parkland, LEGOLAND Windsor is a unique family theme park.
Where else but at a LEGOLAND park can the child
become the hero? It’s all about active participation, self-expression,
stimulating imagination and learning through play. So whether they’re a brave
knight taming dragons in Knights’ Kingdom, a courageous firefighter at the Fire
Academy or a skilled construction worker at the Digger Challenge, it’s the child
that’s always at the centre of the action and firmly in control!
LANDSCAPING AT LEGOLAND. Looking after 150-acres of
parkland is a big task for LEGOLAND Windsor’s dedicated team of 12 landscapers.
As well as implementing a range of new planting schemes around the park, the
Landscape Team is also charged with maintaining the park’s historic oak trees –
some of which are over 300 years old. The unique Miniland area is an on-going
challenge for the team as they have to employ special techniques to work around
the intricate LEGO models that inhabit the area. Guests are frequently impressed
with the attractiveness of the landscape within the park and the time and effort
that is spent on this area is another point which sets LEGOLAND apart from other
theme parks.
